Three roles, and the pay is written down

We are six people and we intend to stay about that size, so a role here comes up perhaps twice a year. When one does, this is what it pays.

Wedding coordinator

GHS 4,200 a month

Full time · Airport Residential

You will shadow two weddings and then run your own ceremony by month three, with a senior planner in the room. Weekends in season, and the Monday after every wedding weekend off. We will teach you the run sheet; we cannot teach you to stay calm when a lorry does not turn up.

Assistant designer

GHS 3,800 a month

Full time · Airport Residential

Palettes, samples, floor plans and building one place setting to scale before two hundred get ordered. Some floristry, a lot of measuring, and the patience to redo a tablescape at nine in the evening because it looked wrong in the light.

Season placement

GHS 1,500 a month

Four months · November to February

Our busiest four months, paid, with no expectation on either side afterwards. You will be on site for at least eight weddings. Two of the six people here now came in through this and we would take a third.

What We Offer

Four things we put in writing

The wedding industry runs on goodwill and unpaid Sundays. We would rather compete on something else.

The Monday after is off

For everybody, without asking, after every wedding weekend. It is written into the contract rather than granted as a favour.

You run weddings, not errands

Coordinators take their own ceremony inside three months. Nobody here spends a year carrying somebody else's clipboard.

Leave is planned round the season

November to March is relentless and June to September is not. We build the year around that instead of pretending the work is even.

Overtime is paid, in cash, that week

A wedding weekend runs long. When it does you are paid for it, and not in time off in lieu that never gets taken.

How To Apply

One email, and no application form

Send us a paragraph about an event you have worked on that went wrong, and what you did in the moment. We are far more interested in that than in a CV, and everyone who writes one gets a reply.
