Fifteen years, told honestly.
2010
Three attorneys and one room
Docket opened above a bookshop with three attorneys, a shared printer and a rule about never letting a client wonder where their matter stood.
2013
The first corporate group
A run of startup incorporations turned into a practice group. It is still the group most of the firm's other work arrives through.
2016
Family law, properly staffed
We had been taking family matters as favours and doing them badly. Hiring a head of family law was the first time we admitted that out loud.
2019
Fixed fees on the whole civil list
Hourly billing was making clients ration their own questions. Every civil matter moved to a fixed fee, and the calls got longer and better.
2022
A second office
Opened for the clients who were driving two hours to sign things. Same partners, same standards, no second tier of service.
2026
Six groups, eight hundred clients
Corporate, property, family, criminal, intellectual property and employment — and the first call is still free and still with an attorney.

18 Marlow Street, Suite 400
The founding office. Corporate, intellectual property and employment sit here, along with most of the firm's meeting rooms.
Northside
5 Halden Row, Ground Floor
Opened in 2022 for the clients who were driving to sign things. Property, family and criminal work run out of it.
Either office will take a matter for either practice group — where you sign is a matter of your diary, not of ours.
