Four hundred people build this, and we pay all of them
Crew shifts in December, four salaried jobs the rest of the year, and two paid placements for people at the start.
Crew call
Four hundred shifts every December
Paid the Monday after the festival, by mobile money, in full. Applications open on 1 September and close when they are full — usually the second week of October.
Stage and load crew
₵180 a shift
Two days before, three nights during, one day after. Heavy, hot and the best fun on site. No experience needed for load; rigging needs a ticket.
Welfare and stewarding
₵170 a shift
Gates, family area, welfare tent and the walk-home route. Training on the Thursday is paid and is not optional.
Photo and video
₵950 for the weekend
Six photographers and two video crews. Bring your own body and glass; we supply passes, a desk to edit at and a deadline of noon the next day.
Working here
Four things that are true of every shift
Everybody is paid
Crew, placements, photographers, the lot. Nobody works a shift here for a wristband.
A meal every shift
A proper one, from the traders, not a sandwich in a box. Vegetarian by default if you ask.
Getting home is on us
Anybody finishing after midnight gets a licensed car home within Greater Accra, paid by us, no argument.
Training is paid
Thursday's briefing, the rigging tickets, the first-aid certificates. If we need you to have it, we pay for it.
Open roles
Four jobs, and they do not come up often
Eleven people work here full time and most of them have been here more than four years. That is the good news and the bad news.

Asked often
What people ask before applying
What is Rhythm Festival?
Three nights of live Ghanaian music across three stages at Independence Square, Accra, run by Rhythm every December since 2014. Twenty-six acts this year, from highlife bands old enough to have played Independence to producers who have never released anything on physical media.
Is it suitable for children?
Under-12s go free with a paying adult and there is a shaded family area beside The Yard until 20:00. After that the Main Stage gets loud and the Late Room is over-18 with ID, no exceptions.
How do I pay, and can I pay at the gate?
MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, card, or cash at our Adabraka office. Gate tickets are sold on the night if we have not sold out — the price is the same, but the queue is not.
04—06 December 2026
Three nights. Twenty-six acts. One wristband.
Independence Square, Accra. Season passes are on sale now and the Late Room sells out first, every year, without fail.
