Five ways onto the crew
Four paid roles for three weeks in November, two hundred volunteer places, and the open call for anybody who would rather be on the bill than behind it.
Contract · 3 weeks
Stage manager, main stage
Run the wall from load-in to strike. You will have two assistants, a good crew and a changeover window of eleven minutes, which is the whole job.

Monitor engineer
Twelve mixes a night on a borrowed desk you will know better than we do by Saturday. Bring your own wedges if you love them.

Production runner
Drive, fetch, carry, solve. The person who makes the difference between a calm weekend and a loud one, and the role most of our crew started in.

Two shifts a day, a weekend pass, all your food and a shirt you will keep. Two hundred places and they go in a week.

Eight acts a year come off it and at least two go on a main stage. One link, two tracks, no press pack. We reply to everyone.
What we offer
Four promises to the crew
Festival crewing has a reputation and most of it is deserved. These are the four things we decided not to do.
Paid weekly, in full, on time
Every contract role is paid weekly by momo or transfer, and the last payment lands the Friday after strike rather than in January.
Fed properly
Three meals a day from the same kitchens the public queue at, not a crew tent with rice in it. Volunteers eat on the same rota.
Taught something
Every volunteer is paired with somebody paid to do the job. Nine of our forty paid roles this year are people who stewarded in 2024.
Asked afterwards
A debrief in the first week of December that we actually act on. Half the changes in this year's site plan came out of last year's.
