Before you come

Things people

ask us

If the answer you want is not here, the box office picks up between nine and six, Monday to Saturday.

Ask the box office
What time do the gates open?

Noon on all three days. The Drum Circle starts at twelve, the Palmwine stage at two and the Main Stage at five. Come early — the queue after six is the longest part of anyone's day.

Can I bring children?

Under-12s come in free with a paying adult, up to three per adult, and there is a shaded family area beside the Drum Circle. The Late Room is 18+ and checked on the door.

How do I pay for a ticket?

Mobile money on MTN, Telecel and AirtelTigo, or any Visa or Mastercard. Prices are in cedis and there is no booking fee on top of what you see.

What if I can't come after all?

Full refund up to fourteen days before the first day, no questions. After that you can transfer the pass to somebody else free of charge from your confirmation email.

Is there food on site?

Twenty-two kitchens across the ground, all of them Accra businesses, and every one has something under twenty cedis. Water is free from the standpipes at each stage.

How do I get there and home again?

Trotro and taxi drop-off is on the Independence Avenue side. Shuttles run to Osu, Circle, Madina and Kasoa every twenty minutes from eleven at night until an hour after the last set.

Access

Getting in,

and staying comfortable

If something below does not cover what you need, write to Naa and it will be arranged rather than assessed.

Step-free everywhere

Hard standing runs to all four stages, both bars and every toilet block. No grass crossing is longer than nine metres.

A raised platform at Main Stage

Twenty-four spaces, first come, with a companion seat beside each. Sight lines to the whole stage and its own steward.

A companion comes free

Email the box office with any proof of award — no particular form and no medical letters — and a second wristband is issued at no cost.

A quiet room, all three days

Behind the Palmwine stage, low light, ear defenders available, open noon to close. Nobody is asked why they are there.

If something

goes wrong

Find a steward

Lime tabards, at every stage edge and both gates. Two hundred and ten of them and every one is trained and paid.

Medical

Two tents — one beside the Main Stage sound tower, one at the beach gate. Open from gates to an hour after the last set.

Welfare & lost things

Behind the box office. Phone charging, lost property, a chair and somebody who will listen. No questions asked about anything.

Text the safety line

Staffed all three days by the site safety officer. If you cannot get to a steward, this reaches one in under two minutes.

Still stuck?

The box office is a real desk with two real people on it, open nine to six Monday to Saturday. Nobody here uses a ticketing chatbot.

Early-bird passes

close on 30 September

Weekend passes go up by eighty cedis at the end of September and the Late Room sells out every year before the lineup is even announced.
