Our team
The people who turn up
Thirty-eight on the payroll and not one day-labourer among them. Every job has a named foreman, and you get their number before they get your deposit.

Thirty-eight people, six of whom you will meet
Every job has a named foreman and you get their number. If you have to ring the office to find out who is coming, we have already got something wrong.

Licensed and certified
Every circuit we leave behind is signed off against the Energy Commission's wiring regulations, by the licence holder who did it.
Our own tradespeople
Thirty-eight electricians, plumbers and fitters on the payroll. No day labour, no subcontractor you have never met turning up at your gate.
The price before the work
A written quote inside two working days, itemised and honoured. If the job changes we tell you before the invoice does.
Qualifications
Who holds what
Kofi Boateng
Energy Commission wiring licence EC/EW/1148
Started with a borrowed van and one apprentice. Still prices most of the larger jobs himself, on the grounds that a quote written by somebody who has not stood in the room is a guess.
Yaw Mensah
Energy Commission wiring licence, City & Guilds 2391
Does the fault-finding nobody else can. Has an unreasonable talent for locating an earth leak by walking round a house once and asking what changed last month.
Abena Owusu
Ghana Water certified, NVQ Level 3 Plumbing
Runs every plumbing job on the book and trains the apprentices. Introduced the rule that nothing gets boxed in until it has held pressure for an hour with somebody watching it.
Selorm Agbeko
BSc Electrical Engineering (KNUST)
Sizes the generators and builds the changeover panels. Would rather spend an afternoon on a load survey than an evening explaining why a new set is wet-stacking.
Kwabena Asante
NEBOSH General Certificate
Runs the yard and every site with more than two trades on it. The reason the tenants in Airport City never noticed fourteen units going in above their heads.
Afia Darko
Advanced Carpentry & Joinery, Accra Technical
Hangs the doors, fits the wardrobes and makes good after the other trades. Holds the view that a job is judged entirely on the last two per cent of it, and she is right.
We train our own
Four apprentices come through the yard every January, paid from the first day and put on a real job in the first week. It is slower than hiring finished tradespeople and it is the only reason we still have any.

Why people call us back
Protect the building you already paid for
Most of what we are called out to fix was installed badly rather than worn out. A board with no labels, a pump sized off a guess, a soil stack with no fall — all of it cheap on the day and expensive for the next fifteen years.
Same-day survey on emergency call-outs
Written, itemised quotes inside two working days
Twelve-month workmanship guarantee on every job
Test certificates and photographs handed over at the end

What people say
Reviews from the people who paid the invoice
“Three people had looked at that leak and told me it was the roof. Beacon found it in an hour — a pinhole in a riser behind the wardrobe — and fixed it the same afternoon.”
Adjoa Mensimah
Homeowner, Adenta
“They sized my changeover off what I actually run rather than off the machine plates. The generator is half what the last quote wanted and it has never once tripped.”
Kwesi Amankwah
Print shop, Spintex Road
“Fourteen units, three weekends, and not one tenant complained. That has never happened to me with a contractor before and I have been doing this for eleven years.”
Naana Otoo
Facilities manager, Airport City
