About Us

We are assisting you in navigating the legal system

Our firm is built on integrity, expertise and a commitment to the best result available to a client — not the most billable one. Twenty-two years of practice across five disciplines sit behind every matter we take.

Our Mission

Integrity is at the core of our mission

Clause opened in Accra in 2004 with two advocates and a single rule: no client leaves a first meeting without knowing where they stand. Twenty-two years later the firm is six advocates across five practices, and the rule has not moved.

We act for individuals facing the worst week of their lives and for businesses planning the next decade of theirs. Both deserve the same thing — an honest reading of the law, a plan that survives contact with a courtroom, and a bill nobody has to decode.

At Clause, we offer tailored legal solutions built for the challenge in front of you.

How We Practise

Four commitments that outlast any single matter

01

Clarity first

You will always know where a matter stands, what it is likely to cost, and what we think you should do next — in language that does not need a second opinion to decode.

02

Candour over comfort

Where the law does not support the answer a client hoped for, that is the first thing they hear from us rather than the last. It is far cheaper to hear it early.

03

The same faces

The advocate who takes your first call is the advocate who argues your matter. We do not sell a partner and staff the work to somebody you have never met.

04

Fees agreed in writing

Every engagement opens with a scope and a figure. If the matter grows beyond it, we tell you before the work is done rather than after the invoice is raised.

A firm is only worth what its clients say about it when nobody from the firm is in the room.

A Few of Our Clients' Comments

We take pride in the trust our clients place in us, and in the outcomes we have reached together.

We came in expecting to be talked down to and got the opposite — a written view of where we stood, in plain English, before we had paid anything. The merger closed on the timetable they set.

Clause told me the claim against us was weaker than my own lawyer had said, and then proved it. I have sent them four other businesses since.

They handled a restructuring that could easily have ended at the Labour Commission. Every step was documented, every person was spoken to, and nobody filed against us.
