Careers

Come and work somewhere the rota is published

Six hundred and forty people work here, and rather more of them have been here ten years than is normal for a hospital in Accra. These are the reasons they give.

What we offer

The four that people actually ask about

A rota published a month ahead

Shifts go out four weeks in advance and swaps are between colleagues, not through management. Nights are paid at a premium and counted properly.

Study leave that exists

Ten days a year, funded, plus fees for one professional qualification at a time. Three of our consultants started here as house officers.

Care for your own family

Staff and their immediate dependants are seen free at any of the three sites, and that includes the specialist clinics rather than only the outpatient desk.

Tier 3 on top of the statutory

We pay a voluntary tier-3 contribution above SSNIT for everyone past probation, and the payslip shows what went in.
