PRICING

What it costs

Real numbers, in cedis, for a Saturday in season. Everything on this page is what we would put on your quote.

Three sizes

What a night with us actually costs

Accra rates for a Saturday in season, in cedis, including rehearsal. Weekdays and off-season come down; travel outside Greater Accra is quoted as one line rather than added afterwards.

Two 45-minute sets

The trio

₵9,500

Guitar, keys and one vocalist, with a small PA. For garden receptions, dinners and anywhere the conversation matters more than the dancing.

Three musicians

PA sized for up to 120 guests

One engineer, load-in to load-out

Two songs learned for you

The rest of it

Everything else, with its number beside it

Traditional ensemble

Six to fourteen drummers for a durbar, engagement ceremony or arrival. ₵4,200 for six, ₵9,000 for fourteen, dancers extra.

The extra hour

₵3,500 for the band, ₵1,200 for the DJ alone. Decide before midnight and it is the first figure; decide after and it is both.

Outside Greater Accra

Transport, crew accommodation and per diems, quoted as one line. Kumasi and Takoradi run about ₵6,500 on top for the full band.

Generator

₵2,800 for the night, and it is on every outdoor quote by default. We would rather you declined it than were surprised by it.

Songs beyond the two

₵900 each, charged as rehearsal time, and we need four weeks. Below that we will say no rather than play it badly.

Half on signing to hold the date, the balance seven days before, by bank transfer or mobile money against a proper invoice. We do not take payment on the night.

Ways to book

Two ways to put us in your room

Whichever you choose, we rehearse for your night — not for ours.

A band rehearsing together in a rehearsal room

The house band

Eleven players and a book of four hundred songs — highlife, Afrobeats, jazz standards and whatever your first dance turns out to be. Priced by the set, with the rehearsal already in it.

Full production

Sound, lighting, staging and crew, with our band or with yours. One number to ring on the night and one person standing at the back of the room watching the whole thing.

Asked often

Three things about money

How does payment work?

Half on signing to hold the date, the balance seven days before. In cedis, by bank transfer or mobile money, against a proper invoice. We do not take payment on the night.

How far ahead should we book?

Six months for a Saturday between November and February, which is Ghana's wedding season and the four months we fill first. Six weeks is usually enough for a weekday corporate night.

Can the night run longer than planned?

Usually. Ask the bandleader rather than the DJ, decide before midnight rather than after, and expect an extra-hour rate that we will have told you in advance.
