A view across the rooftops and streets of central Accra

WHO WE SERVE

Six kinds of roof

A house, a cold store, a clinic, a school, a farm and an estate need six different systems. The panels are the same; almost nothing else is.

WHO WE WORK FOR

Six kinds of building, and what each one needs

The design is a question about the load, not about the sector — but a contractor who has never sized for a vaccine fridge should not be sizing for one on your clinic.

Households

Three quarters of what we do. A backup system sized to the evening load, or a full off-grid where the connection has never been reliable.

3–10 kWp · 5–20 kWh

Shops and cold rooms

Refrigeration is the load solar was made for: it runs when the sun is up and it is the thing whose failure costs real money.

10–48 kWp · grid-tied

Clinics and pharmacies

Vaccine fridges, oxygen concentrators and theatre lights. Designed for no interruption at all, with the changeover tested every service visit.

8–20 kWp · 20–40 kWh

Schools

Computer labs, staff rooms and a borehole pump. Usually sized around the timetable rather than around the building.

10–30 kWp · 10–20 kWh

Farms and poultry

Irrigation pumps and ventilation fans, generally far from a pole. Off-grid with generous storage and a diesel changeover kept as insurance.

12–40 kWp · 30–60 kWh

Estates and offices

Common-area lighting, lifts, boreholes and gatehouses — the loads a service charge pays for, and the ones a managing agent can see the saving on.

20–120 kWp · grid-tied

STANDING AGREEMENTS

Five we are still on the roof of

Named with their permission. Each of these has been under a service agreement with us for at least three years.

Kaneshie Traders' Cold Store

36 kWp grid-tied over the cold room, extended twice. Serviced quarterly rather than twice yearly because of the market dust.

Since 2019

Abokobi Community Clinic

12 kWp with 24 kWh, fully off-grid. Changeover tested at every visit; the log is part of their NHIS accreditation file.

Since 2021

Ridge Court Residents' Association

Common-area array across four blocks, billed to the service charge. The committee gets the monthly generation report we send.

Since 2022

Madina Presbyterian Basic School

14 kWp with storage for the two computer labs, funded jointly by the PTA and a district grant we helped them apply for.

Since 2023

Amasaman Poultry

18 kWp off-grid running the ventilation. Our longest-standing agricultural account and the one that taught us to oversize for the harmattan.
