Production coordinator

Full time · Accra

GHS 5,400 / month

Runs the build schedule and the supplier list across all six festivals. You will spend February to May on the phone and every festival weekend on a site in a hi-vis. Two years in events or logistics; a driving licence matters more than a degree.

GHS 2,800 / festival

Calls the changeovers on the main stage and looks after the artists from the moment they arrive on site. Six festivals a year, three days each. You need to have done it before, on a stage this size, with a bill this tight.

Before you apply

It is hard, hot and it starts on a Wednesday

A festival week is five days on your feet, mostly outdoors, mostly in the sun, and the good part happens at the end when you are too tired to enjoy it properly. Everybody who comes back says the same thing about why they do, and it is never the money.

Asked often

While You Are Deciding

How do I get on the bill?

Send a link — not a file — to hello@bloom.live any time. Adjoa listens to everything that arrives before the end of March, and we put four new acts a year on the small stage at Highlife Garden.

How do I get there and how do I get home?

Every festival has a marshalled trotro and taxi rank running until an hour after the last set, and we publish the routes a fortnight before. Our last set finishes at one so that everybody is moving while transport is still running.

Do I need cash on site?

The bars and the merchandise stand are cashless. The food village takes both, because the traders asked us to keep cash and we listened.
