Three ways to ask

Every one of them reaches a person who has been on a garden this week. There is no enquiry form and no automated reply.

Ring the office

+233 30 279 1180

Seven to five on weekdays, mornings on Saturday. Quickest if you want a visit this week.

Send photographs

+233 24 418 2260

Three or four pictures of the garden and we can usually give you a range before we come out.

Write it down

Best for grounds contracts and anything that needs a schedule of works attached.

What to tell us

Four things, and that is all

You do not need any of it to be exact. We would rather have four rough answers today than a precise brief in a fortnight.

Roughly where the garden is — the neighbourhood is enough to tell you which day we are near you.

About how big it is. Paces across the lawn is a perfectly good answer; nobody expects a measurement.

What you want: a round, a one-off tidy, a planting scheme, or a look at something that is dying.

When you would like us to start, and whether there is a date it has to be finished by.

What you get back

2 days

to a site visit

Usually sooner. We hold two slots a week for new enquiries.

2 days

to a written quote

Itemised, in cedis, with what is and is not included.

2 weeks

to the first visit

If you are on one of the four routes. We will say if you are not.

No charge

The visit is free, and it is real

Kojo walks the garden with you for about forty minutes. He will tell you what is thriving, what is dying and why, what we would change and what we would leave alone — and you keep all of that whether or not you ever book us.

There is no survey fee to waive later and nobody will ring you afterwards to ask if you have decided.

Pick a day and a round that suits the household. We work Monday to Saturday and hold your slot.

Two gardeners in uniform moving mulch by wheelbarrow

The same two gardeners each visit, in uniform, with everything they need on the van.

04

Follow-up support

A gardener finishing a round and looking back across the lawn

A note on what we did and what needs watching, and a number that reaches a person who was there.

Asked often

Asked before the first visit

Am I tied into a contract?

No. We bill monthly in arrears for the visits actually made and you can stop at the end of any month. Anything one-off — a clearance, a planting scheme — is quoted and agreed in writing before we start.

How often should I schedule lawn maintenance?

Fortnightly through the rains, when grass in Accra can put on an inch a week, and three-weekly through harmattan. We move you between the two rounds ourselves rather than waiting to be asked, and the monthly figure stays the same either way.

What type of grass is best for my climate?

Carpet grass for shade and heavy use, Bermuda where there is full sun and irrigation, and Zoysia where you want a fine lawn and are prepared to feed it. We will tell you which of the three you already have before recommending anything.
