Come and work on the tools.
Salaried rather than by the day, your own van, tools bought for you, and a supervisor who was doing your job five years ago.

What we actually offer
On payroll, not by the day
A monthly salary that arrives on the 25th whether the week was busy or quiet, plus SSNIT and paid leave.
Your own van and tools
Stocked, fuelled and insured by us. Nobody here buys their own drill or their own diesel.
Two paid training days a year
Safety, new materials and whatever certification your trade needs next — booked and paid for by the firm.
Hours that end
Seven to four, one Saturday in four, and an on-call rota that is genuinely a rota rather than a phone that is always yours.
Open roles
What we are hiring for
Pay bands published, because a firm that will not tell you the number until the second interview is telling you something.
Electrician
Domestic and light commercial: boards, rewires, generator changeovers and inverter tie-ins. You will be certifying your own work, so a current licence is not negotiable.
GHS 4,800 – 6,400 / month
Plumber
Repairs, bathroom pipework and drainage across the corridor. Leak-detection training given if you have not used acoustic kit before.
GHS 4,200 – 5,600 / month
Bench joiner
Wardrobes, kitchen carcasses and doors, built in the workshop rather than on site. Machine experience matters more than years here.
GHS 3,900 – 5,200 / month
Grounds crew member
Fortnightly rounds across compounds and offices. Licence useful, not required — most of the crew learned to drive with us.
GHS 2,400 – 3,100 / month
Apprentice, any trade
Two places a year, day release paid for, and a job at the end of it. We take people with no experience at all; we are looking for somebody who turns up.
GHS 1,600 / month, rising
Nothing here that suits you? Write anyway — jobs@handy.com. We keep good people on file and we ring them first.
How we hire
Three steps, two weeks
You will hear back either way, and you will hear back quickly. Being left in silence for a month is the single most common complaint about trade recruitment and it costs nothing to fix.
01
Write, or ring
An email with what you have done, or a call to the depot. No forms, no portal, no account to create.
02
Come and see the depot
Half an hour with the supervisor you would report to, plus a practical if your trade needs one. Travel paid.
03
Start on a Monday
Offer in writing within three days of the visit, checks run in parallel, and a first day that begins with a proper handover.

What people say afterwards
Unedited, and collected after the invoice rather than before it.
“They quoted the rewire, did the rewire, and charged what they quoted. After four contractors in three years that felt like a novelty rather than the minimum.”

Asked often
What people ask us
Which trades do you actually cover?
Electrical, plumbing and drainage, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, roofing and waterproofing, grounds and gardens, and deep cleaning. Everything is done by our own directly employed crews — if a job needs something we do not do, we will say so and tell you who does.
Are you insured, and can I see it?
Public liability to GHS 2 million and employer's liability for every crew member. Ask and the certificate is emailed the same day — landlords, estate managers and body corporates usually want it on file before work starts, and it is much easier to send before than to find after.
Do I need to be there while you work?
No, as long as we can get in and out. Plenty of our customers leave a key with a neighbour or the estate office. You get a message when the van leaves the depot, photographs of the finished work, and a call if we find anything you would want to know about.
Ready when you are
