OUR CREW

The people who turn up.

Eleven crews across Greater Accra, led by six people who have been on the tools long enough to know what a job will actually take.

Abena Owusu, operations manager

Abena Owusu

Operations manager

Runs the board. If your two-hour window slipped, Abena is the person who already knows and has already rung you.

Kojo Mensah, roofing supervisor

Kojo Mensah

Roofing supervisor

Nineteen years on roofs across the Greater Accra region. Does every survey himself and has talked more people out of a new roof than into one.

Naa Adjeley Quaye, electrical lead

Naa Adjeley Quaye

Electrical lead

Licensed since 2016 and the reason every board we touch leaves with a certificate and a labelled schedule inside the lid.

Yaw Boateng, site foreman

Yaw Boateng

Site foreman

Keeps the bigger refurbishments moving and the neighbours on side. Sweeps up before he leaves, every time, without being asked.

Esi Ampofo, grounds and cleaning lead

Esi Ampofo

Grounds & cleaning lead

Plans every round in the city and trains the crews. Will tell you honestly that a plant is in the wrong place rather than replacing it each year.

Kwesi Nyarko, master joiner

Kwesi Nyarko

Master joiner

Builds everything that leaves the Tema workshop. Kiln-dried timber, hand-fitted, and doors that still shut after a harmattan.

Our standard

Before anybody is sent out

Four things that are true of every person who arrives at your door in a Handy shirt.

Background-checked

Identity, references and a police check before a first shift, renewed every two years.

Trained and re-trained

A trade qualification or a completed apprenticeship, plus two days a year on safety and new materials.

Insured, both ways

Public liability to GHS 2m and employer's liability for every crew member on every site.

Directly employed

On our payroll, in our uniform, in our van. Nobody sends a stranger to your home in our name.

We are usually hiring

Time-served electricians, plumbers, joiners and grounds staff, on payroll rather than by the day. Tools, van, uniform and training paid for.

Unedited, and collected after the invoice rather than before it.

Asked often

About our crews

Do I need to be there while you work?

No, as long as we can get in and out. Plenty of our customers leave a key with a neighbour or the estate office. You get a message when the van leaves the depot, photographs of the finished work, and a call if we find anything you would want to know about.

Are you insured, and can I see it?

Public liability to GHS 2 million and employer's liability for every crew member. Ask and the certificate is emailed the same day — landlords, estate managers and body corporates usually want it on file before work starts, and it is much easier to send before than to find after.

What happens if something goes wrong afterwards?

Our workmanship carries twelve months, and roofing carries five years. If something we did fails inside that, we come back and put it right at no charge — no argument about whether it was the fitting or the fitter. Manufacturer warranties on parts run alongside that, and we register them for you.
