Sunglasses

Four, and all of them polarised

We make fewer sunglasses than glasses on purpose. These are the four shapes that suit the most faces and the most light.

Four sunglasses

All four are polarised and all four are category 3, which is the tint you actually want between eleven and three here.

What the tint is actually doing

Polarised, and why

A polarising filter kills the glare bouncing off water, off wet tarmac and off the bonnet of the car in front. On the coast road that is the difference between squinting and driving.

Category 3, not 4

Category 4 is darker and is not legal to drive in. Everything we make is category 3, which is as dark as a lens can be and still be a pair of sunglasses rather than a pair of goggles.

With your prescription

Any of the four can be glazed to your script, tinted and polarised, for GH₵ 220 on top of the single vision price. It adds two days.

It comes off a cotton plant rather than out of a barrel, it takes colour differently, and it costs us about a third more per sheet. Here is what that buys you.

Your frames are probably sitting too low

Nine out of ten people who walk into Osu are wearing a frame that has slipped a centimetre down the nose. It is a ten-minute fix and we do not charge for it.
