About us
A small firm, deliberately
Twenty-eight years in Accra, six advocates, and a rule that the partner who takes your call is the one who argues the matter.
Book a consultationOur promise
One partner owns your file, from the first call to the last filing.
Firms grow by handing work down. We grew by refusing to: the partner you meet is the partner who drafts, negotiates and stands up in court. It is slower to scale and it is the only way we know to keep a promise.

How we work
Three rules we do not bend
01
Nothing starts without a scope
You get the work, the fee and the realistic outcome in writing before we open a file — and a call the moment any of the three changes.
02
Every letter comes with a translation
Court language is not a status symbol. Anything we send you arrives with a paragraph explaining what it means and what happens next.
03
We say no out loud
If your position will not survive, you hear it in the first meeting rather than in the third invoice. Sometimes the right advice is to settle, or to walk away.
Qualified experts
Meet our lawyers
Called to the Ghana Bar and trained in London, Accra and Cape Town — and every one of them takes their own calls.

Testimonials
Client experiences
Merit took over a matter two other firms had already been through, read four years of correspondence in a week, and told us plainly which parts of our position would not survive. We settled a month later on better terms than we had been chasing.
