What we ask of each other
Seniority is not a shield
Nobody here hands a hearing to somebody the client has never met. That rule costs us volume and it is the reason clients stay for decades rather than for matters.
Own the file
The advocate who takes the first call drafts the pleadings and stands up in court. No file changes hands quietly.
Write it plainly
Every advice note is read by a colleague from outside the practice before it goes out. If they cannot follow it, the client will not either.
Teach the next one
Every partner carries a pupil. Two full days a month belong to them, and those days are not billable to anybody.
Answer inside a day
One working day to reply to any client, whatever it is about. It is measured, and it is discussed when it slips.
