Four steps, and none of them
are a surprise on the dayOne
We meet, or we call
Half an hour, no charge, usually over coffee at the studio in East Legon or on a video call if you are booking from abroad. You tell me about the day; I tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
Two
The date is held
A signed agreement and a 40% deposit hold your Saturday. I take one wedding a day and about thirty a year, so dates in November, December and January go early.
Three
We plan the light
Four to six weeks out we walk the venue if it is in Accra, or study it together if it is not. Where the sun sits at four o'clock decides more about your photographs than any other single thing.

The day, then the gallery
A preview of thirty frames within seventy-two hours. The full gallery — six to eight hundred edited photographs — inside six weeks, and your album about eight weeks after you have chosen from it.
Delivery
Four things arrive,
and all of them on timeDates, not estimates. If a gallery is going to be late you will hear it from me before it is, which in nine years has happened twice and both times because of a funeral.
Within 72 hours
The preview set
About thirty frames, edited and ready to post. This is the set your family will have seen before you are back from the honeymoon.
Within six weeks
The full gallery
Six to eight hundred edited photographs for a full day, at print resolution, in a private online gallery you can share with a link and a password. Downloadable in full, as many times as you like.
Eight weeks after you choose
The album
A lay-flat book, printed and bound in Accra, in a linen or leather cover you pick from samples at the studio. One round of changes is included and nobody has ever needed two.
For ten years
The archive
Your files stay on two drives and one off-site copy for a decade. If you lose everything in a hard-drive failure in 2033, write to me and I will send it again.
Not included
Four things I do not do
Said here rather than discovered later. Every one of these is a decision rather than an oversight, and I would rather lose a booking over it in January than have the conversation in November.
The unedited files
The edit is half the work, and the frames I did not keep are the ones where somebody blinked. You get every photograph worth having.
Video
I do not film, and a photographer who says they do both is usually doing one of them properly. I will happily recommend three people who film beautifully.
Drone work
Not on a wedding day. It is loud, it needs a second pair of hands, and in nine years no couple has printed one.
Framed prints, by default
The album is included; framed pieces are ordered separately once you have lived with the gallery for a month and know which one goes over the stairs.
Every collection is a single printed figure. No per-image charges, no album fee at the end, no travel supplement anywhere in Ghana.

about the day itselfIs there a second photographer?
On the wedding-day collection and the full one, yes. It is the difference between having your walk down the aisle and having your partner's face while you do it. On the engagement I work alone, because a family compound with two photographers in it starts to feel like a production.
When do we get the photographs?
A preview of about thirty frames inside seventy-two hours, which is what you will want for the group chat. The full gallery — six to eight hundred edited photographs for a full day — inside six weeks, and your album about eight weeks after you have chosen from it.
What happens if it rains?
We carry on, and the pictures are usually better for it. I keep two umbrellas and a plan for every venue I shoot at, and the twenty minutes of rain at Efua and Selorm's is the sequence they printed.
