Four things, each with a number in it
Every hospital's careers page promises a supportive environment. These are the four commitments you can hold us to in your first month.
Your post-basic, on our time
Twenty-six nurses have qualified here since 2018, on the payroll, with the fees paid and the shifts rearranged around the timetable.
One nurse to six patients
On the medical floor, day and night. It is written into the roster rather than aspired to, and the roster is on the wall.
The rota, six weeks out
Published a month and a half ahead so you can plan a life. Swaps go through the ward sister rather than through a WhatsApp scramble.
A say in how it runs
Every clinical change goes to the ward it affects before it goes anywhere else. Four of this year's six came from nurses.

Six posts, all substantive
No agency contracts and no probationary rates. Everybody starts on the published band for their post from the first shift.
