Questions
Everything people ring to ask
Six questions the desk gets every week, answered at the length they deserve rather than in a sentence.

The six we are asked most
If yours is not here, ring the desk. Nobody minds the question and nobody will make you feel silly for asking it.
How quickly can I be seen?
General clinics run six days a week and most people are offered something within four working days. Specialist clinics run to a weekly timetable, so the wait there is usually a week to ten days. The emergency department never needs an appointment.
Do you take NHIS?
Yes, for the services NHIS covers — general consultation, most laboratory work, plain film and the maternity package. Anything outside the scheme is quoted before it happens, in writing, and nothing is done without you agreeing to the cost first.
Which private insurers do you work with?
We are on panel with the major Ghanaian and international schemes and bill them directly. Bring your card and a photo ID to the first visit; the desk will confirm your cover before your consultation rather than after it.
Can I get a copy of my records?
Always, and at no charge. Ask at reception or email records@zenith.com — a full copy takes two working days, and a single result or report is usually the same afternoon.
Will you give a second opinion on a diagnosis from elsewhere?
Yes. Bring whatever you have — reports, films on a disc, a scribbled note from another clinic. Our radiologists will re-read imaging done elsewhere rather than repeating a scan you have already paid for.
What are the visiting hours?
Two until seven, every day. Parents of children on the ward and the birth partner of a woman in labour are not visitors and are not subject to hours — they stay as long as they want to.
Practicalities
Getting here, and getting around
Parking
Free, ninety spaces, entrance off Sixth Avenue rather than Independence Avenue. Four bays are held for the emergency department and are enforced.
Access
Step-free throughout, two lifts, an accessible WC on each floor, and a wheelchair at the front desk without needing to ask twice.
Language
Consultations run in English, Twi, Ga or Ewe. Say which you would rather when you book and we will roster accordingly.
Children
Parents are not visitors. You stay with your child on the ward for as long as you want to, including overnight — there is a bed for you.
Still not answered?
Ask the patient services lead directly. She reads this line herself and answers within the working day rather than routing you back to reception.

Personalised care
We build every plan around one person's history, one person's household and one person's working week — not around an average patient.

Reception answers between six in the morning and ten at night. Outside those hours the emergency line rings straight through to the doctor on duty.
