Specialities
Thirty-One Sub-Specialities, All Of Them Paediatric
From the eighteen-cot neonatal unit to adolescent medicine — every clinic in this building is run by people who only treat children.
Book an AppointmentWhat We Treat
Nine Clinics, One Set Of Notes
A child who needs three teams is seen by three teams in one morning. Every clinic below writes into the same file, and the family takes a copy home.
Neonatology & NICU
Eighteen cots staffed one nurse to two babies, with a consultant neonatologist resident overnight. Kangaroo care from day one, and parents on the unit at any hour.
Children's Emergency
A six-bay resuscitation area and a twelve-bay majors, paediatric-only. Median time from the door to a doctor is nine minutes; we publish the figure every quarter.
Paediatric Surgery
Two theatres reserved for children, with pre-assessment the week before rather than the morning of — which is why a Sprout list is rarely cancelled.
Cardiology
Echocardiography for every newborn before discharge, a weekly murmur clinic, and shared care with the national cardiothoracic centre for anything we should not do here.
Neurology & Development
Epilepsy, cerebral palsy, developmental assessment and the long conversations in between. EEG on site, and a named consultant who stays with the family.
Respiratory Medicine
Asthma, bronchiolitis and chronic lung disease of prematurity. Every family leaves with a written plan and a number, not a leaflet.
Immunisation & Wellness
The full Ghana Health Service schedule plus travel and catch-up vaccines. Walk in on a Tuesday or Thursday morning; the cold chain is logged continuously.
Diagnostics & Imaging
Child-sized ultrasound, digital X-ray, CT and a paediatric laboratory. Ninety-three per cent of routine bloods are reported within four hours of reaching the bench.
Therapy & Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy, speech and language, occupational therapy and play therapy — booked as one block so a family makes one journey rather than four.
Super-Speciality Care
Super-Speciality Care, From Infancy To Adolescence
Thirty-one paediatric sub-specialities under one roof, from the eighteen-cot neonatal unit through to adolescent medicine — so a child who needs three teams is seen by three teams in one morning, not three appointments in three months.

Our Promise
Four Things We Will Not Compromise On
Open Every Hour
A consultant paediatrician physically present from eight in the morning until midnight, and on call in the building overnight. Every night.
One Team, One File
Three specialities in one morning rather than three appointments in three months — and one set of notes that all of them write in.
Parents Stay
A parent bed beside every cot on every ward. Nobody has ever been asked to leave their child here at visiting time.
Said Plainly
Every result explained in words you can repeat to somebody else, and written down before you go home. Acronyms are our problem, not yours.
Parent Stories
What Families Say After They Go Home
My daughter was admitted at two in the morning and somebody rang me at six to say exactly what had happened and what would happen next. Nobody had ever done that before.

Adzo Fiadzo
Adenta, Accra
They let me stay in the room the whole night. The nurse explained the monitor to me twice without once making me feel stupid for asking.

Esi Amponsah
Tema
Dr Quarshie told me what she did not know as clearly as what she did. I have never been so reassured by somebody admitting the limits of a test.

Always Within Reach
Paediatric Care That's Always Within Reach
Book a consultation, speak with our team, or head to us in an emergency. Our support is responsive, informed and continuous — and somebody answers the phone at three in the morning.
