About us

A contractor that still owns its own tools.

We started in 1994 with six carpenters and a lorry. The joinery shop is still in Tema, the plant is still ours, and the programme still gets written before the price does.

Our story

Thirty-two years of finishing things.

Mason started in 1994 as a six-man carpentry crew in Baatsona, taking the roofs nobody else wanted. The joinery shop is still there, and it is still the reason a late drawing change costs us days rather than a container from abroad.

We now run five site teams and a plant yard, and the work has grown from houses to hospitals — but the way it is priced, programmed and handed over has not changed since the first roof.

How we work

Four things we will not trade away.

Every one of them costs money in the short run, and every one of them is why a client comes back for the second phase.

One contract, one number to ring

Design, build and the trades sit inside the same agreement. Nobody on this site has ever been told a delay was the other consultant's fault.

Our own plant and our own joinery

Forty machines and a workshop in Tema. Hired plant arrives when the hire company can spare it; ours arrives when the programme says.

The paperwork is part of the build

Cube tests, weld logs, permits and as-builts are produced as the work happens rather than assembled the week before hand-over.

Crews on the books, not on a day rate

Most of our people have been here more than five years. It costs more per week, and it is the reason the finishes are consistent.

The crews who actually build it.

Foremen, steel fixers, carpenters, masons and plant operators — most of them on the books rather than on a day rate.

Our record is the argument. From high-rise offices to motorway structures, we hand over buildings that are still doing their job a decade later — and we can show you the ones we finished before the date said so.

How we work

From brief to hand-over

01

Discovery & scope

We walk the site, read the drawings you already have, and write down what is in the contract and what is not.

02

Estimate & programme

A priced bill against a dated programme — materials, labour and prelims separated so you can see what moves.

03

Permits & safe plan

District assembly permit, EPA screening where it applies, and the site safety plan lodged before mobilisation.

04

Build & QA

Weekly look-aheads, photographed progress, cube tests and a snag list that is open to you the whole way through.

05

Final walk-through

Joint inspection, as-builts and O&M manuals handed over, and the ten-year structural warranty starts.

Testimonials

Built right. Backed by our clients.

They handed over our 4,200 m² cold store three weeks before the date in the contract, and the snag list was eleven items long. Nobody on our side has worked with a contractor like that before.

Building next to a working out-patient department is a scheduling problem before it is a construction one. They planned around our clinics rather than asking us to plan around them.

Three blocks, one programme, one set of valuations that always arrived on the Friday. The finish quality is the reason we have given them the next phase without going back out to tender.
