About us

A room built for long evenings

Thirty years on the same street, one grill, one wood oven, and a board that only moves when the market does.

Who we are

Where great food meets warm hospitality

Lydia Owusu opened a four-table room on Ring Road East in 1996 with one grill and a borrowed fridge. The grill is still here. So are three of the first regulars.

Everything that leaves the pass has been cooked over fire or in the oven — there is no microwave in the building and there never has been. The board changes on Tuesdays with the market, and the six things people would riot over never move.

The difference

Why guests choose our table

Four things we will not trade away, however busy the room gets.

Everything over fire

Charcoal for the grill, hardwood for the oven. Nothing is finished in a pan because the kitchen is behind.

Bought that morning

Fish from Tema, vegetables from Makola, bread baked here at four. What did not come in does not go on.

The same faces

Nine of the eleven people in the room have worked here more than three years. They will know your order.

Honest portions

Nobody leaves hungry and nobody is surprised by the bill. Service is added only for eight and over.
