One glass counter in Osu
Orbit opened at 12 Oxford Street with a glass counter, forty phones and two people behind it. The till was a notebook, and the neon in the window came with the unit.
2018
The website, and the first delivery by bike
Orders started arriving overnight, which meant somebody had to be at the shop by seven to pack them. The first one went out on a borrowed motorbike to Dansoman and got there before the shop had opened.
2020
The repair bench behind the shop
The bench was built because the queue for repairs had grown longer than the queue to buy, and turning people away was costing more than fixing their phones. It took two months to fit out and it has not been empty since.
2021
Accra Mall, upper level
The second showroom opened on the upper level of Accra Mall, five years after the first. It is the smallest of the three rooms and it sells the most headphones.
2023
Adum, Kumasi
The third showroom opened in Adum so that Kumasi would stop waiting a day for a bus. Two of the people working there started at the Osu counter and moved home to open it.
2026
Eleven people, three showrooms
Eleven people work here now, across three showrooms and one repair bench. Everything on this site is still counted by hand every morning before the doors open, which is why what it says is in stock is in stock.
The first room, and the room the parcels leave from
Both of them are at 12 Oxford Street: the counter downstairs, and the room above it. Everything the website sells passes through both.

The room above the Osu showroom, where every online order is opened, charged, checked and packed again before it goes out. Two people are in here from seven in the morning, and nothing leaves that has not been switched on first.

The counter is still there
Osu, Accra Mall and Adum, open Monday to Saturday, eight until six. Or order before two o'clock and it goes out on a bike the same afternoon.
