Our four ranges
Shop by mood
Eight flavours is too few to need a search box and too many to read as one long list. So we keep them on four shelves, and you pick the shelf before you pick the tub.
The four shelves
Pick the mood first
Open whichever one sounds like today. Nothing sits on two shelves, so wherever you land is the whole of it.

Sorbets
Fruit, ice and nothing else. What you want at four in the afternoon.

Classics
Tigernut, strawberry, mint, coconut. The ones a child points at.

The index
What is on each shelf
The whole catalogue written out, shelf by shelf. If you already know the flavour by name, skip all of this and go straight to the list.
Every flavourShelf 01
Sorbets
No cream goes anywhere near these. Fruit, sugar and water, frozen hard and churned soft, which is why ours tastes nothing like the ice block outside a school gate.
Sobolo sorbet
Mango and chilli

Classics
Four flavours nobody has to explain. More than half of what leaves the Osu counter on a Saturday comes off this shelf, and we have stopped pretending otherwise.

Mint chocolate chip

Chocolate
One flavour, and the only one we have rewritten four times. The beans come down from Suhum and we roast them dark enough that people ask whether it is coffee.

Shelf 04
Adventurous
The shelf a flavour has to earn. Most of what we try here lasts one season; kelewele crunch has lasted five years and is starting to look permanent.

Where to start
One off every shelf
If you have never had ours before, this is the four we would put in the bag: one from each shelf, and by the last tub you will know which shelf you live on.
From the journal
Heat, parties and one mango
Short pieces about milk, mangoes and getting a frozen thing across Accra in one piece.

A sorbet beats cream in this heat
Fat gives up before water does, which is why the sobolo gets to Adenta in one piece and the tigernut travels in a cool box.

How to feed thirty children ice cream
A birthday, a scoop cart and thirty small people with strong opinions. What we have learned about how much is enough.

Nine months looking for one mango
We tasted everything between Somanya and Techiman before a single crate of it was allowed anywhere near a tub.
Four shelves, one bag
Order any four tubs and the van brings them cold across Accra, most days the same afternoon. Ring the Osu counter on 030 279 1140 if you would rather we chose.
