Essential insights about

medical advances
A doctor writing up notes at the consulting desk

Eleven consulting rooms, our own laboratory and imaging, and a doctor on the premises around the clock — built in Airport Residential in 2008 by four physicians who were tired of sending patients across town for a blood test.

Nothing here is unusual. It is ordinary medicine done properly: twenty minutes rather than seven, the same doctor each visit, results the same day, and the price on the sheet before the treatment rather than after it.

Consulting rooms

Ten clinics under one roof

Thrive

services

Four of them run every weekday. The other six run on named days, with the same consultant each time rather than whoever is on.

Cardiology

Echocardiography, ECG and 24-hour Holter monitoring, read the same day by a consultant rather than sent away and chased for a fortnight.

Neurology

Headache, epilepsy, stroke follow-up and nerve conduction studies, with EEG on site and clinics that run Tuesdays and Fridays.

Eye care

Refraction, glaucoma screening, diabetic retinal photography and cataract referral, in a room built for it rather than a corner of a consulting room.

Dental

Scaling and polishing, fillings, extractions and root canal treatment, with digital x-ray in the chair and a hygienist five days a week.

Essential medical

navigation

Four steps, and the clinic is judged on all four. Nothing below is a promise about how we feel; each one is something you can hold us to on the day.

01

Book the slot

Ring the clinic or send a WhatsApp with the department you need and roughly when suits you. Somebody answers between seven and eight, and you get a time rather than a queue number. Walk-ins are seen too — you will just wait longer than the person who called.

02

Come in for the workup

Vitals, history and the actual conversation, in twenty minutes rather than seven. If bloods or a scan are needed they happen in the building the same visit, and most results are back before you have finished the paperwork.

03

Start the treatment

Your doctor explains what they think is going on, what the options are, and what each one costs, before anything is prescribed. Whatever is agreed goes on your record with a review date attached to it.

04

Settle the bill

The price is on the sheet before the treatment, not after. Cash, card and mobile money at the desk. If you are on NHIS or a private scheme we bill them directly and tell you upfront what they will not cover.

will see you

You can ask for any of them by name when you book, and you will get the same one at your review.

My father's blood pressure had been ignored for years because every visit meant a whole morning gone. Here it is twenty minutes, the same doctor each time, and somebody rings him when he is late for a review. He has not missed one in two years.

I came in on a Tuesday with a headache I had been carrying for six weeks. Dr Boateng gave me an hour, found the cause, and did not send me for a single scan. I had been expecting to be passed around for months.

My daughter's fever started at six in the morning and she was seen at eight, no appointment, in a waiting room with a door on it so she was not sitting next to a room full of adults. That is the whole reason we moved our family here.
