Questions

Asked at the first meeting

The eight that come up most often, answered as they would be if you were sitting across the table.

01

How far ahead should we book you?

Twelve to eighteen months for full planning. We take twelve weddings a year, so the honest answer is that the calendar rather than the notice is the constraint — 2026 has two dates left and 2027 opens in March.

02

Do you take commission from suppliers?

No, on any of them, ever. It is the single most important thing on this page: a planner paid by the caterer is not choosing your caterer. Our fee is the whole of what we earn from your wedding.

03

What does a wedding in Accra actually cost?

For a hundred and fifty guests at a venue, most of the weddings we run land between GH₵180,000 and GH₵420,000 all in, including our fee. We will tell you at the first meeting if the number you have in mind does not reach the day you are describing.

04

Can we use our own suppliers?

Of course, and most couples use a few. We will tell you honestly what we think of anyone you bring, we will contract them properly, and we will not charge you extra for working with somebody who is not on our list.

05

We are doing traditional and white. Two fees?

One and a half, not two. The guest list, the families and half the suppliers are shared, so pricing them as separate weddings would be charging you twice for the same work.

06

What happens if it rains?

The wet-weather version of the whole day exists in writing from the month we are engaged, and every supplier has a copy. It has been needed twice in fourteen years and both times the guests never knew.

07

How do you take payment?

A third holds the date, a third at six months and the balance a fortnight before. Momo and bank transfer both work. Supplier contracts are signed in your name, so if a date moves, the deposits move with you.

08

Will you travel outside Accra?

Gladly, and about a third of our weddings are outside Greater Accra. Travel, the team's accommodation and an extra site visit are charged at cost with the receipts attached — never marked up.

Something we have not answered?

Write to the studio with the date and the question. Nobody is charged for a first conversation, and nobody has ever been charged for being told that coordination alone would do.
