Fourteen years on one street
The address has moved twice and never left Osu. Here is the short version.
2011
One wedding, for a friend
A borrowed marquee, a running order written on the back of an envelope, and a hundred and forty guests who never found out how close it came to not happening.
2014
The first room on Ring Road East
Two desks above a stationer's, and the beginning of the habit that defines the studio: every supplier priced in writing before anyone is booked.
2017
Production comes in-house
After one wet December too many we stopped subcontracting the marquees and the power, and started surveying every site ourselves before quoting on it.
2020
Twenty-two postponements
Every one of them moved without a couple losing a deposit, because the contracts had been written in their names rather than ours. It is the year the studio is proudest of.
2022
Twelve a year, and no more
The decision to cap the calendar rather than grow. Two planners, one stylist, one production manager, and a diary that closes when it is full.
2025
Two hundred and eleven weddings
Fourteen years, and the same rule as the first one: the couple should be guests at their own wedding.
What has not changed
The same person still holds the budget, every supplier contract is still signed in the couple's name rather than ours, and nobody has ever been handed a schedule they had not already read and argued with a fortnight earlier.
